Hillbilly Elegy

Would’ve liked it more if it wasn’t about Trump’s new VP lol
Also fucked up that he left for a job interview

OH MY GOODNESSSSSSS- I think the story is very well done and the acting is phenomenal. Realizing the story is about JD Vance and putting together his beliefs… it’s hard to not be biased. Of course he had a hard upbringing but that’s no excuse.

A great drama, though, a terrible biopic. Mostly, if not entirely, because it is based on J.D. Vance. The irony of using your life's story to bring awareness to topics such as poverty, drug abuse, family, politics, class, and bullying, just to become a puppet to an authoritarian regime, is almost hilarious. I need a sequel on his 'woke' days with Palpatine Peter Thiel, and then another sequel on his days with Darth Donald Trump. Honestly, it would be the perfect trilogy. Sadly, the film itself is pretty alright, though it does lack depth. Brilliant acting and great dialogue with an engaging pace.

What a great movie, Ron Howard is an amazing storyteller and when he puts his mind into it, it really makes moving stories. Glenn Close is spectacular and Amy Adams fighting to be the best, and is close, but the mamaw it's just overwhelming.

This guy didn’t need a movie on his life
