Hellboy

Not the best movie ever, but I think it’s a very faithful Hellboy adaptation, and I wish the other movies were on HBOMax too.

This is the film that introduced me to Mike Mignola’s wacky world of horror, mythology and alternate history. This movie scratches all the itches I have. Well acted, a fun and engaging dark story and the perfect amount of humor. This is a great representation of Hellboy.

Ron Perlman is always going to be Hellboy. THE Hellboy. I’ve seen the newer films and they just don’t quite feel right. These original films have the better cast in my opinion, but lack the CGI and money. The newer films have the extra money, but the cast just isn’t on point.
