Hellboy

Not the best movie ever, but I think it’s a very faithful Hellboy adaptation, and I wish the other movies were on HBOMax too.

This was really good and ahead of it's time. Peak practical effects. It's creative and bold. It's a fun supernatural comicbook movie to watch.

Hellboy has a distinct feel, capturing some outer worldly visuals and tone. The plot is overly familiar, with some scenes feeling awkward and the film as a whole is oddly edited. Wasn’t exactly for me.
