good god were there any writers in that room

i’ve literally grown with this show and it really made a big impact in my life.

It wasn’t perfect but for someone who followed the story for the past 4-5 years, it was the perfect ending for this story.
I wish the other characters had more story tbh

these two boys are lowkey toxically co-dependent at such a young age. i do like watching a show/movie with so much representation and queer joy, even if it is cheesy at times

i’m so sorry but it’s just weird to me that charlie’s UNDERAGE and we’re seeing him have sex 😖 there’s also cute moments but it’s too overpowered by the amount of cringe dialogue

i loved the series had such good representation & plot But this film was really dissapointing the plot basically didnt exist and was honestly felt like it was dragging watching it. dissapointed a real shame especially the representation side was really lacking imo

Ahh, the show itself fell off pretty hard going into season 3 for me, unfortunately this film finale continues that unfortunate trajectory.

I really liked the first two seasons of the show, there was a sweet earnestness about it all that was really watchable. Scripts were never a strong point, dialogue is very clunky and cringe, doesn’t help they’re rarely performed well by actors but anyway. I just didn’t feel or understand the need for this to be a film, it’s a lot of going in circles and things happening for the sake of them happening.

It’s pretty crazy how much Kit Connor out-acts everyone in this, Joe Locke too I guess, but even then the margin is much bigger than it should be, it’s actually distracting - no wonder his career has taken off more than anyone else from the show.

It’s a fine end to it all, but I feel like there would be a stronger benefit to having waited a few years for them to portray the characters as older - oh well!

i hate movies that are just about romance sorry but the mental health struggles werent that deep and the "communication" felt pretty shallow its crazy I grew up with this the older i get the more I feel Ill never find a relationship like that because of who i am somehow bleak....

I really enjoyed the series - and the movie is still serf but honestly, the movie is not that great…plot is seriously lacking. Honestly struggled to even finish it till the end. I was honestly hitting the skip button so much cause it just got sooo boring… low-key disappointing

No good plot throughout this whole 2 hours. Do enjoy the representation and what they have done with the series, to me there it stops

what was the plot

I mean obviously it wasn’t all perfect and I disliked the fact that s€x was mentioned a million times throughout the film. I get that they’re teenagers and all but I wanted something else too especially with the other characters.

I think it was obvious a nice ending to the whole heartstopper series but like I said I wished we got more stuff on the other characters.

Some people really grew up with the series and I think those people appreciate it a whole lot more than I did.

Goodbye to another era that a lot of people will be looking back on a lot.

It wasn’t perfect, but as someone who has been a fan for the past 5 years, this was the perfect way to end this beautiful story. This universe means the world to me, and this just felt so much more mature and meaningful compared to the series. I couldn’t imagine a better end. 🍂🩷

I love heartstopper. I love the show. I love these characters and their actors, I love Alice and Pat for creating it and bringing it to life. The joy and comfort Heartstopper has brought me over the past 5 years is immeasurable. Heartstopper forever… and ever and ever and ever❤️❤️❤️

it was a nice end to the series seeing the characters go off and do their own things but it definitely felt rushed. the only characters who really got fleshed out were nick and Charlie. Such a shame it was a movie ans not a regular series.
