Regret spending money going to the theatres to see this. Bottom line this should’ve been a netflix movie at best. The cast was cool and the acting was alright but I’m tired of these predictable slasher movies. This will make me question further slasher movies I decide to go see.

I did not like this at all. I don’t particularly enjoy horror/comedies. This was far too cheesy for me; I realise it was a creative choice. The killer reveal was unsatisfying and seemed irrelevant to me. I would not watch this ever again.

While its overall vibe is fairly familiar, this horror-romcom mashup is still quite clever, with a knowledge of and appreciation for both genres, as well as appealing and/or funny characters.

It was okay

i hated the beginning of this film—the restaurant scene was painful to watch and the leads had zero chemistry. it felt unrealistic that couples went out knowing about the killer, and much of it felt predictable. still, the plot twist surprised me, and it had a killer ending!

4.4 - Nah. Didn’t love this.

I am ok with campy gory slashers & I am ok with cringey rom-coms, but this was a poor mish-mash of lower grades of both.

The script is absolutely cringey, but I felt like I’d heard all the same bad jokes elsewhere. The kills were gory enough, but the killers lacked an identity & enough backstory until the final sequence to buy in. I also am having trouble thinking of a less efficient kill team. I know gloating & luck keeping potential victims alive is a repetitive theme in a lot of slashers, but the sheer number of kill opportunities these killers passed up is mind-boggling.

Worst of all, I couldn’t even begin to buy into the cheesy rom-com angle because the lack of chemistry between the leads & the inauthenticity of every line they delivered to each other was absolutely grating. Maybe if they had found a way for the shifts from rom-com to slasher a little less stark it wouldn’t have been so difficult to buy in to, but as far as holiday themed Scream knockoffs go, there’s not much to love.

A meta movie that shoots its shot by taking a big stab at mixing the bloody streams of a Slasher and a Rom-Com.

It’s full of creative kills, clever jokes, and lovely reveals for the h.w.w. inside us all.

AMAZING. My #1 anticipated of the year did NOT disappoint. FUCK all happy couples for real. Mason Gooding is also my favorite actor so it was great that he was in this.

So it’s pretty nice, but the killers are way too random, their explanation was really strange (it didn’t make much sense), like they didn’t have a real motive. The idea was still nice though, and I love this type of movie.

Really fun genre mashup! I had a good time watching this movie, but I have to admit that the reveal was super duper predictable, it was very obvious what was gonna happen. Predictable twist aside this movie was very fun. Olivia Holt and Mason Gooding were amazing in this movie.

I don’t think I’ve ever watch a romcom horror - a rorror? Romror? Horomcom? But I liked it! Loved the banter and chemistry. Predictable but fun.

Fun, funny, safe, predictable. Done well but your typical run of the mill scary movie these days. Brownie points for somewhat creative and fresh storyline

Olivia is so cute, and i kinda liked the romance horror movie mix

could’ve sworn i already rated this but, i thought it was funny and alright. the comedy was good but the reason why the killers are killers are pretty dumb

Something about unserious horror comedies always interests me, and this was no different. Scenes were fun and I also liked the romance aspect, I need to find more movies like this
