Don’t get me wrong, I thought this movie was hilarious. But what in the world was that plot. The first hour of the movie was great with a lot of cameos and well written jokes but then it just turned to slop once they started playing in the “maxi league”. I thought it was funny taking a jab at LIV golf this way, but if they really wanted to make it realistic then Bryson should’ve been on the Maxi team. I just felt like that whole golf part was over the top and nothing compared to the classic that the original Happy Gilmore was. Maybe it was too modern and woke for my taste, I’m not sure. I can’t say that I’ll be rewatching this movie in its entirety but I’ll probably watch the funny clips on my reels or something.

Happy Gilmore 2 isn’t the classic the first one was but it leans into what made it great. Hilariously dumb jokes, cameos, and Sandler doing his thing. I didn’t expect a masterpiece, just wanted to laugh and it delivered.

They could have done so much with a different story line… not sure why they killed off the wife or made happy a alcoholic. Recycled jokes from the og and so many montages it felt kinda lazy… not a terrible late sequel but not amazing either. Def a money grab tbh. Still love adam!

Idc what anyone says this is what Happy Gilmore 2 needed to be. Same style, lots of laughs, cameo galore and a feel good movie yet again 🔥

It gets so bonkers in the back half but honestly what else were they gonna do 😂 it’s playing on the sequel tropes and it’s the perfect film to do so.

Love that there is some really heartfelt moments in it with the kids and the wife but at the same time there’s so many hilarious moments and it all blended so well to me.

I love dark, serious & emotional movies but I also love these types cause I can just have such a blast and laugh way too much.

Overall I think this is a worthy legacy sequel and I’m definitely gonna be watching the OG and this one together in the future. Adam Sandler, you the goat 🔥

Usually remakes are pretty horrible, but this one was very well done

This was so funny! Had the same feel as the original but obviously a more “older” orientated audience. From the trailer looked tacky but honestly lived up to the hype. Highly recommend if you’ve seen the first one

Movie of the year! I laughed so many times, Adam Sandler really outdid himself. 10/10.

I LOVED THISS. The first was my favorite movie in childhood period. This definitely has faults but bogus ones people mention are the random plot and outlandish moments that have always been in his films!!!! It’s just modern which may feel weird. I loved Shooter’s return. (1/3)

It’s honestly bonkers and I love it because of that! That’s what these kind of films are about just odd and quirky with constant jokes and references to the first movie. I have no regrets I can definitely tell Adam sandler had creative control

It’s not perfect, but if you loved the first one, you will love too
