Was it as good as the first one…arguable, was it still an action packed thriller movie that deserves a high rating…yes. Personally I still loved this one, although not as much as the first one, still, would recommend as one of those top tier thriller-comedies.

Rothe is asked to go even further here in terms of balancing the horror and comedy elements. She’s still a lot of fun to watch and is more than able to do most of the heavy lifting.

This movie is atrocious. Don’t watch this movie. Please. It’s so bad. If you value your time- heed my advice and avoid this movie at all costs.

3/10, what i liked about the first one was them not trying to explain the groundhog day scenario, and this one tries to explain it in a very stupid way

Rothe has done it again. She never not misses with these films. I can’t wait to see the next one. I cannot wait for more Tree and Carter they are my favorite horror couple (other than Dewey and Gale from the Scream franchise). 5/5 stars.

Fun sequel to death day. Pretty funny at times and plays into the Deja vu/multiverse etc bits well. A slight step down from the first, but worth the watch if you liked the original

This one was really good too!! Just finished watching, was glad it wasn’t the main character who was going to be stuck in the time loop at the very end. Overall good acting, didn’t expect the killer (2nd time over) to be the Cheating Husband. I Recommend!!

After the first film, I dove in to see how they’d keep the time loop fresh. I like this; ditching the pure slasher vibe for a chaotic sci-fi comedy that mostly works thanks to Rothe’s energy.

The Director's Eye (What Worked):
• Rothe balances genuine grief with frantic physical comedy while resetting the loop.
• Expanding into a multiverse is a fun swing that raises the emotional stakes.
• The morbidly hilarious suicide montage turns dark moments into a slapstick reel.

The Friction (What Didn't Click for Me):
• Leaning hard into quantum physics makes the original’s horror and tension vanish.
• The new killer’s identity feels like an afterthought tossed in just to wrap up the action.

The Verdict:
I like it. Watch for a fun sci-fi comedy. Skip if you want actual scares.

Oh my goodness! I was not expecting such insane plot twists in this sequel! I am very glad I ended up watching these movies because they were very good.

the entire plot rides on a THREAD, the conclusion is atrocious and makes no sense 2/10
