This was a really good movie but tbh I would’ve been much happier if Abby and Riley ended up together in the end. They just seemed to have more chemistry than the main couple

Am I going to spend the whole week crying because Abby and Riley didn’t end up together yes, did I dislike Harper the entire movie yes, did I still love the movie yes.

Lowkey pissed that Kristen Stewart and Aubrey plaza didn’t end up together but I love this movie and I watch it every year.

Watched it for the third time since it was released in 2020. Not my favorite movie in existence, but the more I watch it I appreciate its humor more. It’s one of the few movies that addresses the stress coming out has on a relationship. Still think the ex was more attractive tho

Harper doesn’t deserve Abby. F*ck this movie. High key: Riley and Abby should have ended up together. Also Jane is the only likeable person in that family, everyone else is horrible

The movie was great up until the point where the horrible gf was forgiven and they lived happily ever after. It wasn't a good resolution at that point.

it gets a thumbs up for riley and riley alone. love revisiting this movie to watch kristen stewart end up with the wrong lesbian over and over again 🥲

stressed me out so much this is a psychological thriller fr, was praying abby would leave that D1 villain behind 🙏😭
side characters like riley and john are more dimensional and provide more to the story all around

This movies really great especially as a family/holiday movie. Awesome cast/acting, super (+ subtly) funny and a very relatable story from all perspectives.

Def rec watching twice if you’re like me. 1st time to watch reactively and 2nd to understand from a realistic viewpoint.

Is this the best movie? No. Do I end up watching it every few months (even when it’s not Christmas)? Yes, weirdly it’s become a comfort film for me. Also, ABBY AND RILEY SHOULD’VE BEEN ENDGAME! LIKE? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Anyways, I adore you, Dan Levy.
