It was an okay watch, I thought they’d modernise it but kept in the Shakespearean language. So it started to become a little tedious to listen to.

I held off on reviewing this until after a rewatch since I didn’t pay enough attention to it. Sadly, I don’t think I’ll get around to a rewatch anytime soon, mostly because I wasn’t into much of what I remember, aside from the story, cast, and culture. I love Riz Ahmed, and I wanted to love this, especially from a cultural standpoint. Unfortunately, I found the dialogue quite jarring, which dominoed onto the performances too. It really wouldn’t have been an issue had the script matched its modern setting, but I guess they wanted to keep it explicitly Shakespearean.

Def between meh and like. Hard to decide. Was shot really well, out of place feeling the whole time but didn’t get good for me until we finally got a death to start making some good drama. The play scene was good for sure.
