Gummo

Harmony Korine’s “masterpiece(?)” depicting rural Deep South characters. Makes you wonder if there was a script or if this is a documentary. Hard to watch due to its graphic non-horror visions. Just… very unique to see the least.

this movie is just… so strange. i can’t even form a coherent thought about it; I marked it dislike just bc i have such a fuzzy opinion

to enjoy film is to accept and appreciate it in its rawest and most artistic form. depending on who you ask, gummo is either unwatchable garbage or a true masterpiece, but its bold direction and incredibly impactful aesthetic cannot be denied or understated. not for closed minds

So confusing but I don’t know why I wanted to watch it so many times. Feels like a fever dream

This is a hard watch but can be very interesting if you have right mindset going into it. It’s not a traditional movie. It’s a slice of life and there is no point to it other than showing you have different people can live.
