Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio

This was phenomenal. Visually so captivating and such finely detailed stop motion, story was reimagined in a dark way brightened by Pinocchio’s naivety and misunderstanding of the world. Would rewatch, would recommend, and will show this to future kids even.

Watching this film was an interesting experience. Although I applaud Del toro for hinting at sources from the books. I love how the film follows Pinocchio's innocence showing a side that could not only end the conflict but could help us grow and help each other strive.

Beautiful stop motion from the mind that brought us Pan’s Labrynth, so you know it’s dark and weird… I was worried this was going to be a musical but there are only a few songs thankfully.

Too much good to talk about. Just watch it, trust.
