It’s a classic and I don’t care that it has problems through a 21st century lens. Maybe Sandy really wanted to shed her good girl saddle shoes and poodle skirts and put on some damn leather pants, perm her hair, and have a little fun, okay? I know I would’ve if it were me.

amazing in every way the soundtrack esp

An absolutely perfect movie. Maybe it’s the nostalgia but I’m pretty damn sure that the songs, acting & pure execution make this one of the best known musicals for a reason.

There is a very real reason people know this movie, even if you haven’t seen it. It’s a great movie for reasons I find hard to explain. I’m not a big musical fan but this movie, this time period, casting, and cheese are very well done.

What’s the mom from hairspray doing cross dressing in this movie. Almost fooled me. Sly dog
