I rented this movie on DVD from Netflix (pre-Qwikster) shortly after moving to DC in 2006.

I finally watched it from my home in Los Angeles on December 3, 2023.

I wish I hadn’t waited so long. This movie is very much My Kinda Shit. Maybe it’ll be your kinda shit too!

I would’ve preferred more exposition at the end and for another 5 minutes to flesh out some characters. 3/5

The ending was good, the whole movie was very entrancing, big love letter to the older days. Really good.

Very interesting. A little hard to follow along with, but it brought great insight into the time period and events that occurred during McCarthyism

It’s like drunk history, except nobody’s drunk.

Very well-directed by George Clooney, and very well-acted by all. The black and white cinematography looks very nice and isn’t just a gimmick. Not a film I see myself revisiting anytime soon
