Lemme tell you why cause I know this movie has a bad rep this was the first ever movie that I ever watched as a kid, and it was a Godzilla one and I’m one of the biggest Godzilla fans you’ll ever meet this was my introduction to the character I physically cannot hate it cuz of It

After years and years of having this on disc this sounds stupid but I’ve finally started to watch these films.

I totally understand this isn’t a great Godzilla movie, I think it’s a great monster movie. Yes it shows its age now but they didn’t use crap CGI. Solid 6/10

As a late-90s blockbuster, it’s serviceable. The New York setting is used well, and the pacing rarely stalls. The military sequences and citywide chaos is okay, and the creature design, while controversial, stands out as something different from traditional kaiju portrayals.

this was my very first godzilla move I saw as a kid and it reminds me of my grandpa, and it’s a pretty good monster movie, but this is not godzilla. Philippe is the best character from a Godzilla movie tho and Nick Totopolis is a crazy name
