Godzilla

It had massive flaws, but for being released in 54’ you can’t critique it too harshly.

Pacing was the worst aspect of the film by a mile, was slow and boring with no depth of characters. The effects on the other hand were well done for the time, only hinderance were the cutaways

I could see why this was popular for its time and why people still like it. The acting out of some of the actors was really bad, the look of Godzilla was cool but you could clearly see that some of the scenes were just toys moving around, I sign of the times, it had potential.

The original may be slow compared to the flashy Godzilla we have today, but having better characters always makes for a better overall experience. Plus, I enjoy old monster movies, just like with King Kong.
