Godzilla
"Impossible. Godzilla was baptized in the fire of the H-bomb and survived."
E for exceptional effort. Godzilla is without a doubt an iconic film, but what makes it iconic is not the film itself, Nonono it’s the vision behind the film. For example, the destruction shots are so obviously little miniatures to the point it’s funny, but the way it’s shot leads it to feel of it’s time, and somehow timeless at the very same time. It’s got that kind of charm to it, something that’s so visually dated you can’t help but smile.
1st Act 8.9/10 (Actually very fast paced, but very VERY obvious miniatures.)
2nd Act 8.6/10 (The slowest act, but has the best destruction moments.)
3rd Act 9.4/10 (Heroism, Desturction, Philosophy, Death and Aura, what could possibly be better for a Godzilla movie.)
Plot 9/10 (The vision is incredible, it had to be made, and it delivers.)
Soundtrack/Score 8/10 (Nothing special, but then again, not that kind of movie.)
Acting 8.9/10 (Everyone is amazing except Osaka, what the fuck are you doing?)
Pacing 8.7/10 (Slow at times, never boring but so many good parts just mangled together which make it feel slower.)
Cinematography 9.5/10 (The shots of Godzilla destroying the city is genuinely the peak of the movie.)
Character Development 9.3/10 (Literally only Serizawa, but to be fair it also gets points for having Godzilla aura farm the whole movie.)
Writing 9.3/10 (I love the whole weapon of mass destruction bit with Serizawa.)
Ending 9.4/10 (NOOO NY GOAT NOOO.)
Direction 9.6/10 (The vision, the destruction, the sea of fire, it’s all so well done.)
Overall
108.6/120
Godzilla is a must-watch classic film that has its ups and down but is overall charming, I highly recommend, therefore Godzilla has earned itself a low 8.9/10

Godzilla
Was good I rlly liked the anti-nuclear weapons testing message it had and the sort of old mysterious horror aspect

Godzilla
It had massive flaws, but for being released in 54’ you can’t critique it too harshly.
Pacing was the worst aspect of the film by a mile, was slow and boring with no depth of characters. The effects on the other hand were well done for the time, only hinderance were the cutaways

Godzilla
“A-bombs versus A-bombs, H-bombs versus H-bombs. As a scientist- no, as a human being - adding another terrifying weapon to humanity’s arsenal is something I can’t allow.” Is such a powerful line and just shows how beautiful this movie is in the aftermath of something so horrific
