Ghostbusters: Afterlife

A very nostalgic recapture of the original while adding a personal flair. Grace killed is as Phoebe and Rudd brought a great amount of charisma. Writing is sometimes cringy but doesn’t suffer from the shortcomings. Fun visual effects and great character writing. 4/5

I really only watched because my sister LOVES Finn, but really enjoyed and wish I was a die hard ghostbusters fan from the beginning because I feel like I would have loved the lore even more.

Watched this on a plane. Great plane movie. Mediocre when watched at 0 altitude

There is a whole genre of movies that claim to be remakes of classic series but really are just nostalgia bait shoddily wrapped in shitty dialogue and lazy writing - this movie and jurassic world dominion give me the same vibe and I get pissed bc these movies are insulting to the viewers because they know people will go see them bc of the nostalgia so they halfass every other aspect of the film
