A movie spun out of equal parts folk tale, fable and real-life legend about the mysterious, 1930s Tennessee hermit who famously threw his own rollicking funeral party... while he was still alive.

Great cast, and probably well made. Maybe just wasn’t in the right mood for this when we watched it.

How can Sissy Spacek look so good at her age. And not just that but she's a top tier actress?!?! Anyways, great movie I only heard of when I decided to add Duvall's entire filmography to my watchlist. Surprised this doesn't get talked about. Bill Murray does amazing as well
