The 70s paranormal movies always have an atmosphere that I love, and you're invested in the story because Mia Farrow's performance sells you on it. The ending is dark, which sometimes is more effective, and it clearly worked.

odd, strange little film. the plot is incredibly dream like and doesn’t feel like it knows where it’s going, but stays somehow formal and natural in structure. craazy ass backstory for the ghosts!
