What the fuck did I just watch. That was the most unhinged shit I’ve ever seen.

And then of course 35 minutes in QT has to play himself and creep on feet like a fucking weirdo.
Also, why did it take me this late in life to find out young Danny Trejo was kinda hot?

Absolutely off the fucking rails in the best way. Incredible movie.

Started off great in a hilarious, dark/strange Tarantino kind of way. Then about 20 mins in lost all sense of direction and identity, leading head first into the zombie/vampire blood bath section. Yikes

Enjoyable movie with some awesome moments. The effects they had in the 90s were amazing.

Absolutely insane that Tarantino wrote and cast himself in a part where he gets to suck on Salma Hayek’s tequila-coated foot - dude is an absolute menace lol.

Best I’ve seen creatively from Robert Rodriguez. I’ve been iffy on each and every other film of his in quite a big way - this one is filmed with practical creativity and visual flair that simply didn’t exist in his other pieces of work. Ryan Coogler wasn’t kidding when he said he took inspiration from this for Sinners, incredible amount of similarities. But unlike Sinners, the tone of this film is all over the place - one minute goofy, the next trying to be serious. It’s something that works in Tarantino’s other written bits of work, but this time - not so much.

George Clooney and Harvey Keitel viciously out-act every other person in this film in a big way. I see a lot of similarities between Keitel’s character here and Mel Gibson’s in Signs - both excellent challenges on the loss of faith, and how it comes to you in a time of need. I’m not religious, but it feels incredibly effective to see it actualised.

Great first “spooky” watch of the month. I’m excited to check out other horror-y films I’ve not seen!
