Friday the 13th Reviews

This movie acts as a sort of “best of” compilation for the Friday the 13th franchise, taking the best aspects of every prior sequel and meshing them together. The characters aren’t all likable and the writing is corny, but Jason is super threatening and the setting is great.

A very worthy remake, on par with Texas Chainsaw (also from director Marcus Nispel). Jason is quicker and just as viscous. Kills are noteworthy and it’s an overall solid rehashing of our beloved Jason. Worth watching for all horror hounds.

First off, that opening fake out🤤 then Jared Padelecki🤤 then the Texas Chainsaw 2003 influences🤤 yeah this was everything I needed it to be. And frankly, I need way more modern installments from this franchise. Its abandonment is so disappointing.
