Could’ve been very good but poorly directed. Just not a good job telling the story

I really enjoyed this movie, the battle for free rights for all men not on one side or the other but as just men.

I think the only problem I had with this movie was how they jumped forward in time a lot, especially near the end which made it confusing, but overall the film is more good than bad. It tells an important and engaging story complete with a smashing cast of actors. 8.7/10 for me!!

bae matthew was SOOOOOO hot in this and i love how he was such a great protector and the love story between the two of them was so cute. when his friend died my heart shattered.

Great film and pays a real good amount of attention to detail in the sadly racism at the time, since it’s based on a true story many turns and is cool film I had to watch twice

Slightly uneven, especially with the odd choice to jump forward in time in spots, but the performances and the history make this a worthwhile viewing experience.
