This is the first film adaptation of Mary Shelley’s novel. I used to think the first one was the 1931 version (which, by the way, I still haven’t seen 😅). It’s a silent short film, and only a few title cards appear on screen to describe what’s happening. I got lost during some scenes because they were hard to make out due to how deteriorated the film print is.

I couldn’t read shit with that handwriting of his.

What's interesting is that Frankenstein is actually the doctor's name, but over time it became the name of the monster.

This is a classic and for that I will give it the respect it deserves and give this movie 6/10. I appreciate this movie for the doors it opened for the generations of horror films we have now.
