So beautiful omg, visually stunning, the soundtrack was amazing and the story was so well thought out. You can tell how much love was put into each and every character. 💕

The world and characters designs were crazy absolutely loved that but I think the story lacked something imo ooh and I also didnt really like the voice acting felt kinda corny sometimes

I wanted to love this so bad!! Let me start by saying the visuals are STUNNING but that’s about all I liked. The story was lacking and the script felt like it was written by AI. I love everything stop motion but this was just disappointing

Visually stunning. 🤩 Stop-motion animation is truly an art form, from building every set from scratch to designing the characters’ costumes and color palettes. The film was entirely created and shot in Mexico, and you can really appreciate the artistry in every detail of the characters.

I never expected it to be a musical (it reminded me of The Nightmare Before Christmas), but it never felt overwhelming or annoying. The narrative, however, was very ambitious and difficult to fully explore in a single movie. I hope there’s a sequel, or perhaps the filmmakers intentionally left it with an open ending.

They paid incredible attention to every visual detail, but they overlooked the fact that the story leaves many plot holes that deserved further explanation. In the end, I also wish Herneval and Frankelda had been given a much more satisfying conclusion to their story.

Man I had high hopes for this movie, but was very let down. Felt rushed, didn’t feel at all connected to the characters, and the story just wasn’t good. Very beautiful handiwork no doubt, but that’s it.
