Very Christmassy and even kinda magical.
The guy is a klutz & maybe a little too super sweet at the end

From the very beginning, the film gently invites us into Abby’s world, capturing her unraveling moment with an honesty that feels refreshingly real but never out of character. Rather than painting her actions as typical, the story highlights her vulnerability, and Abby herself recognizes her own shortcoming, reminding us that everyone can have an off day. It’s a relatable scene, especially since her reasons for being upset at the counter are easy to understand, even if her response wasn’t ideal.

One of my main concerns before watching was how the film would handle the aftermath, Abby’s public image and how others would react. To my relief, the movie addresses this thoughtfully and believably, threading the line between drama and realism.

Overall, the movie is a heartwarming story that manages to touch on weightier themes without ever feeling heavy or bleak. I appreciated how supporting characters, not immediately swept up in the central romance, provided grounding perspectives. The film gives its characters sensible outlooks on love and life, rather than false fairytales.

Of course, not everything is serious—Nick’s role as the children’s Christmas play director adds a wonderful dash of humor, lightening the mood with charming moments. There’s warmth, twinkling holiday decorations, and just the right amount of romance to round things out.

Although the film hits some familiar Hallmark plot hurdles toward the end, they’re handled with sincerity, leading to a heartfelt and satisfying conclusion.
