The acting is the only decent thing about this entire weirdo movie… also this should not be intended for an audience of at least PG-13 as the content that is explained and takes place is quite dark and also repulsive… let’s not normalize that to such a young audience, tf? Jail! 🚨

gonna give this a meh for the weird sexualization of the oldest daughter, her weird relationship with the father, and how her brother is always watching her take a bath

I read the book when I was 10 and I've been in love with it since. The original will always be my favourite, even if it isn't book accurate. Purely because the characters are better portrayed from their personalities. A chilling story that always gives you unease.

the book’s pace was better than the movie, and some things from the book were changed or left out that i expected to see. i really liked the background music. the book, in my opinion, is better it’s still disturbing, maybe even more, but a good read

Wish there was more after the escape.

I didn’t even like the book, but there’s so much wrong with the storyline. It’s morbid towards women, it romanticizes rape and it’s sickening to watch how religion elements dive over the line into obsessive justification for murder and violent abuse towards children.

Was good. Hard to watch at parts. Sad ending
