I loved this film, I’ll be reading “A Boy, a Burrito, and a Cookie: From Janitor to Executive,” very soon. This movie made me cry, I love that Richard overcame everything and won in the end. What a story! I’ll forever buy hot Cheetos for as long as they exist.

movie would be enjoyable if i DIDN’T know that this whole movie is LIES😂 the real life Richard DID NOT create ‘FLAMIN HOT CHEETOS’ & yet Hollywood keeps feeding into his BS story making him RICHER & RICHER 🤦🏽♂️

3.1 - rarely have I felt so disrespected by a movie. Beyond the fact that it’s a falsified story that Montanez has built an entire 2nd career off, the movie itself half acknowledges it & does nothing to right the wrongs. Plus it’s too long & not as family friendly as advertised.

Muy chingon! Eva did a great job making the movie flow. Keeping things light & entertaining. She did a great job with the whole story with knowing when the scene had to be serious & when it could have some fun. Some facts were not accurate…regardless it was enjoyable to watch.

An inspiring movie… up to a point. Some parts felt pretty exaggerated. Like many American films centered on Mexican families, it leans heavily into the stereotypical “Mexican cholo” image, which gets a little distracting. After watching it, I decided to look into Richard Montañez’s story myself, and I was surprised to learn that he wasn’t actually the original creator of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, nor did he work as a janitor at Frito-Lay. Knowing that made me see the movie a bit differently.

Just proves still again that if you really think you could do something, just believe in the things and work for it even if it takes time. Good watch and funny
