I think I hate FNAF fans

Marginally better than the first in terms of scares and atmosphere, but significantly worse for story. This is NOT a movie made for FNAF fans or even new viewers alike, as it’s just a thrown together mess.

The animatronics look amazing though, especially the withered versions.

As someone who has been a fan of fnaf since before 3 came out, I am so happy my early childhood is getting the treatment to deserves, with balls to the walls levels of fan service, quite startling jump scares, and practical effects that make me want to dry hump toy chica.

Firstly, this is by no means a good as a movie as I make it out to be, I’m simply rating it this high because I’m a long term fan and I was just excited to see my childhood on the big screen, don’t get me wrong, as horror movies go, it’s actually not half bad, and that’s what makes it so good. Not only is it more like a horror movie, which fits the vibe of the 2nd game, it actually feels like it a horror movie and not an hour and a half fan service flick Jason Blum made to pump out money.

1st Act 8.8/10 (Fan service and set ups, but still tries to be accessible to fans of only the movies.)

2nd Act 9.2/10 (Gives up on that entirely and just shoves scares and fan service in your face and not only does it work, but it leaves you begging for more like the good little fnaf slut your are.)

3rd Act 9.4/10 (Genuinely so fucking scary, and still manages to amaze me with lore development.)

Plot 10/10 (It’s fnaf 2, the plot is it’s fnaf 2, so obviously a 10)

Soundtrack/Score 10/10 (THEY HAD “ITS BEEN SO LONG” IN IT LIKE CMON.)

Acting 8.6/10 (Questionable at times, but amazing performances from Skeet Ulrich and Matthew Lillard and especially Freddy Carter, like the performance he gives is genuinely insane.)

Pacing 8.7/10 (Doesn’t get slow or boring, doesn’t go too fast, just well paced.)

Cinematography 8.3/10 (Doesn’t really focus on it much expect for animatronic reveals.)

Character Development 8.3/10 (Only really Vanessa and even that’s just 👍)

Writing 9/10 (Basically just ways around shit to give us fan service, and yk what, fuck you I like that.)

Ending 8.9/10 (Genuinely so hyped for 3, I’m so happy the way it concludes, just wish the day it releases would come quicker.)

Direction 8/10 (Emma what the pluh are you doing with the withered animatronics, why they so slow, fucking foxy runs and jumps and in this the mf walks and stares.)

felt like a MLP episode, defeating the “evil guy” with the power of friendship 💀💀 when my guy over here is THE DEVIL from THE BIBLE. dialogue and the relationships between characters were shitty af too.

that said, freddy carter was GREAT. dude rocks the batshit crazy look 👍

i feel like it’s steering so far from the plot but also at the same time… not ? like the original lore is in there enough to not complain but then also they just be adding stuff

This is genuinely THE movie of 2025. It ties up loose strings from the first movie, it built up the world for the third movie and best of all it beautifully captures the fnaf 2 location… lowkey it’s better than the first movie idk why people are hating

Though the plot is all over the place, the video game sequel has some effective scares and slick visuals.

1/4 I really wanted to like/love it but I was bored of it tbh 😭 it kept dragging on and it felt hollow?? if that makes sense. like they were literally just reading the script and not acting it out, I guess? it could be the writing though cause ik josh is a good actor but idk lol

This was SO good. I’ve gotta say i liked it even better than the first! Loving the way that everything is coming together. It’s so interesting seeing the movie timeline unfold.
after finding out what was inside the box i now know that F stands for Fazfest. 9/10

Super fun. I just rewatched the first the night before this and this does almost everything better. The kills are more violent and frequent, the pacing is much better, and the third act has much better payoff than the first. A pleasant surprise after initially low expectations

Threw this on for National Video Game Day since I grew up playing the games. It has plenty of cool Easter eggs, but the muddled story isn’t actually scary.

What Worked:
• The design of the new Toy animatronics looks incredible and completely pops.
• The eerie score brings a ton of great, tense atmosphere to the locations.

The Friction:
• The ghost hunters subplot part at the beginning really dragged for me.
• The overstuffed mythology gets so confusing in the middle part that tension halts.

Verdict:
Honestly pretty meh. Watch for the cool monster designs. Skip if you need a coherent story.

fun theater experience but barely functions as an actual movie. it was kind of atrocious on the second watch but like in a funny way

Animatronics were super cool, set design awesome, and josh hutcherson is acting his ass off per usual. BUT I think the plot was lacking and predictable and the other actors could’ve been better. But I can’t hate it bc of fan service/nostalgia elements. It was mostly entertaining!

is this movie good? (no) well… i couldn’t say, but i still enjoyed myself a lot
i’m a huge fnaf fan and the fan service was definitely fan servicing
if nothing else, they know what they gotta do to get fans on their side
and the animatronics looked so so good
