First Blood

Even though this was the start to another action franchise for Stallone, it’s probably one of the first movies to bring PTSD to the forefront. Which is the most important aspect of this film.

This movie perfectly summarizes what’s wrong with modern film. This guys a tough cookie, but sharp teeth can bite through the toughest of cookies-at least they should.

Rambos not some total superhuman with no depth or pain. He’s an actual character

Badass.

Stallone delivers a surprisingly vulnerable performance. Rambo feels human, broken, & haunted rather than invincible. To think this all started with police brutality & ego. They created their own nightmare by messing with the wrong man and abusing power.

So good.
