i liked it; i personally thought the effects were great for a 1984 movie. i haven't seen the new one—didn't even know there was one—but i feel like i'd definitely prefer this one a lot more.

Not a bad adaptation. Loved Drew Barrymore. The pacing of the movie honestly was the biggest issue and sometimes things jumped around too much. 6.5/10

Cool special effects and good acting. I don’t normally like sci aspects to movie but I really enjoyed this.

Not a fan of old school special effects, but I can definitely appreciate the vision, the story, and Drew Barrymore’s acting skills.

the writers for stranger things took a lot of inspirations for their show from this movie and it shows so I had to watch it! It was a bit boring sometimes but still hold up pretty well, I would love to see drew in stranger things since she was such a icon in the 80s

I saw that ending coming and still bawled my eyes out. She was so cute in this movie and I liked it but was pretty slow

This movie had great special effects for the 80s. Drew Barrymore no surprised did a great job.
