The second half of the film is definitely better than the first, which is full of narrative clichés and in general characterized by mediocre writing. The second part lights up with twists, which however do not make you “leapse” because of a poor editing. 6/10

Really like it!! It’s based on time when ZSRR existed and it show really good how hard it was then for people to love who they really love!!

História emocionante, ainda mais por ser baseada em fatos reais. Terminei com o coração em pedaços ao ver Sergey perder seu grande amor, Roman, e nem poder visitar seu túmulo devido à perseguição contra homossexuais na União Soviética. Inesquecível.

this gets points for effort and a good portrayal of yearning and forbidden love. that said, i really feel like this movie suffered from being english-language. i’m 100% sure this movie would be 10x better if it wasn’t. otherwise, it was okay. sad that it’s a true story. 😞

I’m just going to be real… i really hate this movie because why was the story so fucking beautiful and amazing then made me cry so much. this is one of my main comfort movies and never fails to touch my heart. such amazing writing done.

I cried i bawled my eyes out after the credits 😭
