Must have watched this 50 times now. I like how it's become relevant again with the ongoing remake of the original game.

Joined a super fun watch party with my favorite streamers. Honestly loved how this throws me right back into Midgar, serving up pure nostalgia and wild action.

What Worked:
• Nomura’s upgraded visuals look gritty with deep blacks and sharp steely blues.
• The massive battle against Bahamut SIN totally blew me away as the old crew teamed up.
• Seeing Cloud pull off the Omnislash Ver. 5 felt like the ultimate fan payoff.

The Friction:
• The Geostigma parts really dragged for me and felt kinda confusing to track.
• Story sections got a bit lost between fights, making the plot feel a little thin.

Verdict:
Watch if you adore the lore and want high-octane action. Skip if you don't know who any of the characters are.

that third act was like an hour long jesussss but i still liked seeing the old crew back together even if it was only briefly and if barett’s design was the worst thing i’ve seen in my life. story was a bit messy but it made me sad whenever aerith appeared. ultimately liked it ig

I love this movie to death!!!!!! one of my favorite franchises of all time. ik some people out there may not enjoy this movie as much as the game but this movie totally resonates with my past trauma and it has helped me find myself. It is a beautiful story <3

Its not bad but I think the games are definitely better.

One of my favourite movies of all time

It’s a fine watch, though unnecessary to the plot. It was just fan service and a way to see these characters in a 3D movie setting, since the only other way at the time was on the PS1. This was also just advertising for a rematch with Cloud and “Sephiroth”.
