Farinelli
I watched Farinelli after seeing a TikTok about Alessandro Moreschi , and it was honestly fascinating and disturbing at the same time. The music was beautiful, but learning how the Church supported something so extreme just to preserve a certain sound was shocking. The film does a great job showing both the brilliance and the cruelty behind Farinelli’s life. The music was beautiful, but it’s so sad knowing he never got to choose his own life or have a family. It made me feel for him. I urge anyone to watch this movie if they don’t mind having to read subtitles!
