could watch this on repeat 24 hours/day. so comforting and nostalgic. I would watch this on VHS at my grandparents house to go to sleep, and still do. Conscience or sleepy, this movie will always be a 10/10 for me. Music, animation, subtle storylines. Perfect

Truly, I appreciated this so much more as an adult than as a 5 year old. Fantasia is a dazzling depiction of the infinite ways music can be interpreted into visual form

Disney at its trippiest! Needs to be seen through a different lens than the other Disney classics but a truly harmonious fusion of classical music and appropriate animation.

It’s my favorite movie from childhood. That said, it does have several racist depictions in multiple parts, including mushrooms in the nutcracker suite and Sunflower the centaur in Pastoral Symphony. I have a nostalgic love for the film, but I want to acknowledge its problems.

I know Fantasia is considered a Disney classic, but unfortunately it just wasn’t for me. I can appreciate the incredible animation and the creativity that went into bringing the music to life, but I found myself zoning out and struggling to stay engaged. It felt more like an artistic experience than a story, and I personally missed having characters and a plot to become invested in. I completely understand why so many people love it, but it’s one of the very few Disney films that I just don’t enjoy.
