The acting wasn’t it

I hate opera but tolerated it for the movie. A lot of reviews think the relationship with Max was rushed, but I felt like Charle’s turn was out of nowhere.

Came for the singing, stayed for Max, he was fantastic. Millie was unbearable and didn’t show much positive character development

Im not very fond of opera music. But I very much did like this movie. It’s a must watch.
