I really wanted to like this movie, but I didn’t find it very realistic. I also disagreed with how the church was portrayed, since those aren’t the teachings I personally know from attending church regularly. The protagonist’s self-acceptance felt too sudden, going from⬇️

finally a queer movie with a happy ending

something about the pacing threw me off, it’s a good movie but i think the character development of the father as well as the decisions made were very sudden and lumped in at the end. you didn’t really get to see them think things through or the process getting there 🤷🏼‍♀️
