Classic Cold War drama, a little frightening, for those who lived through the Cold War. Great for classic film buffs.

This was an excellent film! I was on edge the entire movie. The acting is surprisingly very good, the plot is basic but with interesting twists. The first 25 min are slow but the rest is very compelling. War Games before War Games.

Really shows you how intense and how scary the threat of a Nuclear war can be. The ending will leave you with chills

For a dated, Cold War era thriller, this movie is painfully relevant today and has an ending that is trauma-inducing. A single sound (those who have seen it know what I mean) will forever be burned into my memory. A truly terrifying non-horror movie.

War is ugly. It should never be referred to as beautiful and this is the perfect example why. It's a shame Kubrick was a diva and made this film delay itself so he could release Dr Strangelove first because I think Sidney Lumet would have Kubrick's legacy if he didn't
