Watching Archer throughout the film and his characters development and seeing the sorrow and pain he feels is astonishing, the premise of the movie grants for the exploration of the grey of good vs. evil. The depth of these characters is amazing in this over the top action movie

the premise is so silly that i was shocked when it had a serious tone, but wow i thought it was so good, i’m not even someone who likes action movies but this was so tense and it sucked me in, nic cage and john travolta’s impressions of each other were amazing too, i cried tbh

What works is the dual performance showcase. Travolta & Cage’s clearly relish mimicking each other’s mannerisms. That commitment makes the ridiculous concept strangely believable. Also, that shootout scene with the mirror imagery, the emotional confusion was the best.
