i was so excited when i first saw the trailer for thus film and don’t get me wrong, i really enjoyed it and i love Amandla, she’s a phenomenal actress. But this movie just lacked something for me? It was such a beautiful concept but it was so underwhelming in the end

im very disappointed. after the reading the book, I had high hopes. the actors/actresses are great and perfect for their characters but the script and filming just fell flat and not how the book should've been interpreted personally. So many missed opportunities and plot points.

this was so much worse the second time. I watched it because my sister had it in dvd and had never seen it and it was cringy to the point of being unredeemable. They had zero chemistry and were actually difficult to watch be together
