A raw and realistic look into the lives of two LA police officers as they uncover cartel activity in their neighbourhood. The chemistry between Gyllenhaal and Pena feels very natural, the dialogue is mundaine yet funny and the cinematography puts you in the middle of the action.

jake & peña are phenomenal together, what a duo. felt the brotherhood between them. loved the doc style cinematography, made me feel like i was in the action with them. the ending hits like a train. it’s insane what cops get involved in every day to day. very solid film 8.5 / 10

Great movie. Super funny and the actors have good chemistry. Has its serious moments which keeps you interested. I enjoyed how it was like a “documentary”.

Escalates a little unnaturally and the villains leave a little bit to be desired. But Pena and Gyllenhaal are fun together and their ladies.

Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña had more chemistry than most actual married couples. Also whoever decided the camera needed to shake like it was being operated by a raccoon with Parkinson’s deserves jail time. Anyway, I loved it.
