As someone that isn’t a native English speaker, I find it really hard to keep up with this movie. Especially ‘cause the subtitels were also in English. But because they used hard words it makes the time perk realer, so it’s not a con of the movie! 10/10 see comments>

jane austen, if u were alive, u would have loved this; traditional values ​​have returned!!!

The pastel colors gives the film a dreamy effect and costumes are great, ı loved the color work. Also I very much enjoyed the character grow. Emma starts off smug and misguided, but her gradually raising self awareness feels earned and sincere

also it was crazy learning that ‘clueless’ is based off of ‘emma’ bc of this movie. the whole time i was like wait this plot looks familiar…

this is just my everything, Anya Taylor-Joy and Mia Goth playing two of my favorite characters from my favorite Jane Austen novel ever? sign me up, it’s beautiful and such a lovely portrayal and adaptation, this and Clueless are my favorite Emma adaptations

3.5/5 - looked nice sounded nice. wasn’t keen on Emma to begin with but she really grew on me. loved that the cast felt very of the time. all round fun

I've avoided matchmaking my whole life, lol. In the film, you see how easily one person can misunderstand others, and how sometimes a person can't even realize the harm they're doing to those around them.

Absolutely enjoyed it. It was a great addition after reading a book, although the film will never be so full of details as the latter. Because of it felt a little rushed. But still it’s a good movie. Particularly enjoyed the scenery, decorations and music.

ich habe das Buch vorher nicht gelesen u. denke es ist besser als der Film. habe anfangs den Sinn gar nicht gecheckt, aber er ist denke ich ganz gut

Confusing but addictive

4.7/10 - i was disappointed because it seemed like a lot of other people liked this movie, so i think i went into it with higher expectations and it just fell a bit flat. i got a bit bored in the middle, but it started picking up toward the end, so that was nice.
