Best Retelling out of them all (I’ve seen them all AND read the book)

Doesn’t hit as hard as the 2020 version. Still a pretty good adaptation and ultimately fun film!

The movie was fine. The goings on of 19th century England is just not my thing. Neither is Jane Austen. The wife enjoyed it though. Performances were well done.

I saw a review in the below section made me feel sick. This is a classic this is the OG film. Most period drama bring a differnt vibe each time. N this one was the book. It gave Emma this relatable slightly tight air with no humour because it’s not a funny matter. Delicate film

Upon rethinking, this is def one of my least fav movies. The script follows the book and sucks. This isn’t me hating the movie as a whole, this is me hating this story in almost any form, but recognizing that with the right script, it could be somewhat okay. In this case: Sucks

A movie made for women that are fans of gossip and backbiting. Liked the set dressing but the costuming was weak. Not for me.

Couldn’t stand Gwyneth as Emma. Hated this version even as a kid. Mr. Knightly is handsome in this one tho…
