not as good as the first one- the plot and wittiness was better in that one- but i still liked it it and how it parodied other horror movies, still goofy and fun

I don't think boobs have ever carried a movie entirely, but Cassandra Peterson as Elvira has gone and done it. Mistress of the Dark has some special magic to it because this one doesn't compare at all, but at least it pays some homage to old Roger Corman movies and is still fun.

A charming tribute to old horror melodramas. Elvira shines, and the slapstick and innuendo land more often than not. Great for fans who enjoy retro spoofs and low-budget flair.
