A solid short with a good story to tell, but also needed to get to the point quicker. I love the world and art-style of this short and the message it has is very powerful, but it only really shows how powerful it is in the ending. With a tighter runtime, I’d probably love this.

6.4 - “meh” by rating but I actually liked this, and definitely more than a few of the actual nominees.
I loved the super classic animation feel & fantasy vibe. The story resolution was very obvious & the message simple, but that’s not necessarily bad. A reminder of generational battles can always be ended and traumas can stop with you.
This felt like a pitch to a major animation studio for the next fantasy kids movie.
