Honestly fascinating story and really good acting

This movie is 90% rage bait

Slow moving a depressing movie of a young girl during the Victorian Era in a loveless marriage. Not recommended.

While she does not play the main character, Emma Thompson’s genius shines throughout. Fanning and Sturridge while perhaps not actors one would typically pair together, work remarkably well. It is a story that perhaps in its essence has been told before, but rarely so well.

Boring as hell. That is all.

couldn’t get into it. too boring for me :(

For me it was a confusing story, and I didn’t really know the plot till the end. I like the time placement tho
