Had to watch for a film class, aint half bad if you dont go in expecting huge action and suspense.

Great movie. I like the way it was filmed. The story of Ed Wood is a little depressing and this plays on that quite well

Love movies about movies. This is probably one of Burton’s best. And Depp is fun to watch in it.

I’m torn on this one, as Ed Wood has proven to me that if you want to get into directing you can, just never give up on it, because if Ed Wood can get a following you sure as hell can.

My main problem with Ed Wood is its pacing, as it has that Forrest Gump pacing where so much happens with so many scene switches that you get a feeling that it’s an hour in when it’s been like 10 minutes at most.

Plot 9.2/10 (deserved a movie, glad it got one)

Soundtrack/Score N/A (isn’t any)

Acting 9.4/10 (Johnny Depp is incredible and Bill Murray is unrecognisable)

Cinematography 9/10 (nothing special but that one Bela Lugosi lamp scene was beautiful)

Character Development 8/10 (it’s a biopic there’s not much to develop on)

Writing 9/10 (I love the way Ed is written he’s so endearing, same with Bela)

Ending 8/10 (I hate it when (SPOILERS) there’s like subtext explaining what happened to the characters after cause it just feels so lazy)

Direction 9/10 (not a Tim Burton guy but gotta respect this one)

I wanted to like it more, I really did. It had all the campy elements I usually love…but I was checked out for most of it. Martin Landau was a stunning Bela Lugosi. He played Bela with so much care and empathy.

This is exactly the sort of biopics I love. It skips right to the interesting parts that are unique to the celebrity; it doesn’t center on a specific segment of their life that no one cares about (like Maestro and the relationship between Berstein and his wife), it stays on track

I knew this was going to be good from the opening credits. I'm a fan of the old monster movies, and I love what Tim Burton did in this biopic of Ed Wood. The whole cast's performances were amazing as well.

I really enjoyed this and it’s one of Tim Burton’s best. I loved how the story connected with the real events, it was really cool.
