You take 80s over-the-top action and spice it up with kung fu, then you get something glorious like this. Sammo Hung is quickly rising to be one of the favorites in kung fu cinema.

I had heard from someone that this film is peak martial arts cinema. I didn’t feel the same way. Slow motion can be an effective tool, but not when it’s used for every other shot! If you’re into old martial arts films, this might be right up your alley, it just wasn’t for me.
