ok. I know this looks bad. i mean honestly it was awful but so so enjoyable!! every moment there is something to laugh at, like the lipstick and armor SMH. the CGI was soooo bad.

1.2 - I really love D&D and my group I (mostly) DM for, and I love the 2023 movie.
And all I can say is thank all the gods of the Forgotten Realms this wasn’t my intro to D&D.
It’s atrocious. I’ve seen better acting in high school plays. I don’t care if it was 2000, the CGI is some of the worst, cringiest, lamest garbage ever seen. It wasn’t funny. It didn’t represent typical gameplay in any way. And the ending is disgustingly naive & simplistic.
The only thing I can credit is how insane Jeremy Irons is playing his villain role; there are some obvious shades of Scar in there. But even he knew this was garbage saying in an interview he took the job only because he needed to be able to pay for the castle he had just purchased. I really want to see an audit for how all $45M of this budget got spent.
Thank god this wasn’t the death knell for movies based on this source material.
