Even still, I want to eat at that restaurant

8/10 would watch again, was interested the whole time. Gives me Red Eye vibes, but with a little more mystery.

5.2 - I mean, in some ways, meh almost feels too high. Just turn your phone off, lady.

For a 90 minute movie it dragged a lot in the middle, getting overly repetitive. Conceptually this should be pretty solid, but it tries so hard over & over & over to fake you out & be a serious thriller instead of just committing to the absurdity it should be. An overload of camera tricks & whiplash editing helped build suspense early, but it wore thin. And lastly, outside the ridiculous & semi-predictable primary plot, the domestic abuse commentary was insanely weak, & someone needs to teach how to write 5 year olds better.

Most of the credit here goes to Meghann Fahy for a solid lead performance & Brandon Sklenar for a not terrible wannabe Chris Evans performance. The opening act was somewhat suspenseful in its set up & the final action wasn’t bad. It wasn’t close to the worst time I’ve had at the movies this year, but I was a bit hopeful for more.

How are some of the ratings for this so high? Did I watch the right movie? I went in expecting a poor-quality flick. Nevertheless, I gave it several chances, and I'll give them credit for making my brain run a marathon. That being said, everything I thought of was far too sophisticated for Blumhouse. The plot is a disappointment in the worst way possible. It seemed like it was building up toward a decent mystery, but no, it builds up to an empty, overexposed conversation, and the ending, for me, confirms this as an unintentional comedy. I see the potential, but the writing and all-round lack of quality drop the ratings by a mile.

A fun thriller to watch between major box office openings this year. The two main characters are pretty well written and their personality's are clear as day almost immediately. It had me on the edge of my seat quite often, and only felt "slow" for the last sequence. Solid 7.5/10

Drop can be a fun watch until you over think it. There are its clever moments along with its silly ones. I can see people liking it for the leads and suspense alone. While suspenseful, too ludicrous for me.

One of the stupidest, most plot hole riddled movies I’ve ever seen..

How did the bad guys know a single damn thing about Violet prior to her date? How did they get her address? Why are they prepared to shoot her child in cold blood but not Henry? How did everyone survive?

This was a harrowing experience lmao. I loved the visuals and acting and the extremely stressful claustrophobic atmosphere was very effective. Definitely a thriller mystery through and through, although I do wish there was a bit more action apart from the last 10 minutes.

Drop is a tense and effective thriller (7/10) that makes the most of its high-concept premise. Director Christopher Landon skillfully builds suspense, anchored by a fantastic lead performance from Meghann Fahy.

The film's strengths include:

• Suspenseful narrative: A masterclass in building tension from a simple setup, with a relentless, ticking-clock puzzle that forces the audience to question who can be trusted.
• Compelling performances: Meghann Fahy delivers a layered performance as Violet, while Brandon Sklenar is perfectly cast as the charming yet ambiguous Henry.
• Effective direction: Christopher Landon uses tight camera work and clever sound design to amplify Violet's growing paranoia.

However, the film has some weaknesses:

• Predictable reveal: The third-act reveal relies on familiar thriller tropes and may require a significant suspension of disbelief.
• Underdeveloped supporting characters: The waiter and other diners function as one-dimensional red herrings rather than fully developed individuals.

Overall, Drop is a sharp, well-acted, and incredibly tense thriller that's a must-see for fans of contained thrillers that thrive on psychological tension.

Wasn’t bad but not that good either, was a bit repetitive but interesting. Its eh but somehow i liked it

6/10 enjoyed the suspense from start to midway, Although, typically with these types of films, the ending. The victim works thought the situation by thinking logically, however once solved the build up is thrown out the window and becomes a free for all?. Recommend.

Who the fuck gets chocolate and strawberry milkshakes for a first timer 😭 absolute tweak

Honestly I wish they leaned more into the airdrop premise BUT I think it’s a pretty well done, dense and concise movie!
