Dracula Untold Reviews

Honestly didn’t hate it kinda sad that the universal dark world franchise didn’t make it so much potential between this one and the tom cruise mummy Woulda loved seeing this franchise with more of the classic monsters

He should stick to shooting dragons near the mist mountains

mais underrated à mort ce film???????? on parle pas assez de la lethal face card de luke evans dans ce film en particulier mais c’est une SINGERIE. luke evans = my megan fox dans transformers

Rating: 5.9/10

Dracula Untold is a competent but forgettable action-fantasy film that misunderstands its iconic lead character. Luke Evans shines as Vlad the Impaler, but the film's generic superhero tropes and lackluster story make it a soulless attempt at launching a cinematic universe.

Highlights
- Luke Evans: He brings a commanding presence to the role of Vlad the Impaler, making him a convincing action hero.
- Visual Style: The film is visually stylish, with impressive production and costume design, and a driving score by Ramin Djawadi.

Criticisms
- Misguided Story: The screenplay reframes Dracula as a misunderstood superhero, stripping the character of his terrifying power and resulting in a generic "hero's journey."
- Underdeveloped Characters: The supporting characters are one-dimensional and underdeveloped, with the female lead feeling like a damsel in distress.
- Tone: The film's attempt to blend horror and action falls flat, making it a frustrating and boring watch.

Verdict
Dracula Untold is a slick but soulless blockbuster that misses the point of its iconic character. With a talented lead in Luke Evans, the film is a creatively bankrupt attempt at universe-building.

8.9/10 best out the modern fantasy film run and was definitely the best visual rendition of Dracula told

What a weird and interesting plot but great cinematography

I’ve always loved this movie. The Dracula mythos is one of my favorites and this is a fresh take on the story. We get to see Vlad throughout his journey into darkness. Charles Dance is great as always. The CGI has some bad moments but it’s mostly clean. I don’t understand the hate. Overall any vampire or monster fans should give this movie a shot.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really liked this, I was so sad when the cliffhanger happened because I know there is bo more movies. I would have loved to see how the story would follow.

i liked it but it was only entertaining in the superficial sense. not a very deep or thought provoking movie, though it definitely had the potential to be.

Went in blind and I love it. I thought the ending was rough but it turned itself around.

Good watch 👍🏽

luke evans en Dracula ? mon cœur bat FORT ! mais le film en lui-même aurait pu être mieux 😌

7.8~A majestic dark fantasy draped in shadow and legend. The scenery is hauntingly beautiful, the details rich, and the war action thrilling from start to finish. Beneath the epic battles lies a tragic beauty that makes Dracula’s rise feel like the birth of a sorrowful legend.
