Dracula

Imagine me watching Frankenstein and Nosferatu very close together and finally getting round to watching possibly one of the most influential movies of all time and it being an absolute massive disappointment as the characters aren’t endearing not to mention it’s poor pacing 5/10

so beautifully eerie, i love how dracula can so seamlessly go from incredibly charming and alluring to creepy and malicious, such a great film, i loved dracula, renfield and mina very much, the story was told so wonderfully

A sublimated ghost story related with all surface seriousness and above all with a remarkably effective background of creepy atmosphere.

was utterly confused when they called him mr. renfield. so i assumed this was going to be a movie on how dracula became renfields master. no. they’ve just mixed it up.
the pacing is fairly quick to follow but if your a lover of the book as i am you can see the missed opportunities.

They were just mad he was actually getting the maidens

the imagery in this is so hauntingly beautiful!!
