Donnie Darko

This movie was the biggest mind fuck I’ve ever experienced. I was left very confused after my 1st viewing but after I did some reading and rewatched the movie, I came to really appreciate and love this film. I absolutely love the journey it took to fully take in this movie.

This movie is a paradox, he dies either way. Donnie darko is chosen as the person to prevent the destruction of the timeline. He is given a chance to explore humanity and kindness of people, just as the Smurf quote he said states. After doing that, he chooses the selfless option.
